29th Annual Buckeye Book Fair: History & People of Ohio

2016 Buckeye Book Fair program illustration by Will HillenbrandOhio Humanities is pleased to announce a grant award to the Buckeye Authors Book Fair Committee in support of the 29th annual Buckeye Book Fair, Sat. Nov. 5, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The History & People of Ohio theme will showcase the state’s rich history through literary and visual forms of expression. Novelist Nancy Roe Pimm will present a unique presentation about a world record setter from Newark that few know of — Geraldine “Jerrie” Mock. In 1964, the amateur pilot set a record as the first woman to successfully fly solo around the world. The presentation is 1:30 p.m. Sat. Nov. 5, 2016, in the Fisher Auditorium, Wooster, Ohio.
