Prehistoric People–How Primitive Were They?

Chief Cornstalk lived in Ohio before the American Revolution, a time of great change for the Shawnee peoples. In this hands-on workshop, Dan shares his extensive collection of natural items and replica tools made in the manner of the prehistoric peoples of the Ohio country. Learn about home life in the Native villages and fire-starting techniques, explore games played by the pre-Columbian boys and girls, and examine the important roles played by the “three sisters”—corn, beans, and squash.
