Storytelling: Science and Engineering through Stories

Engineering means applying science to make life better for people. Each of the stories in this program conveys one or more engineering principles through a medium accessible to elementary school students, such as experimentation, infinity, mechanical pulleys, and air pressure. We also explore skills required to apply the academics, such as: good judgement, teamwork, perseverance, forethought, and time management. Storyteller Susan Marie Frontczak’s deft and entertaining storytelling mixes the introduction of these topics with a large measure of delight.

Susan Marie worked for 14 years as an engineer prior to pursuing fulltime presenting. Her projects during that career included mechanical design, integrated circuit development, user interface design, and software development.
