Zoar Speaker Series: Transatlantic Travel by Sail and Zoar Artworks

Marianne S. Wokeck, PhD, will explore 19th century transatlantic travel. Wekeck is a professor of history at Indiana University School of Liberal Arts. Her lecture begins at 11 a.m. in Historic Zoar Schoolhouse, 221 E. 4th Street, Zoar.

At 2 p.m. curator Lawrence Waldman, PhD, will lead a related talk in the Bimeler Art Gallery, 198 W. 3rd Street, Zoar. He will speak about the various art movements reflected in the displayed works as well as their relationship to the Zoar community.
