People across the state are gearing up for the June-July 2003 season of OHIO CHAUTAUQUA. With a theme of The Ohio Frontier, the programs will be especially compelling as Ohioans celebrate our states bicentennial year. A cast of important characters will appear under the tent this summer: folk hero Johnny Appleseed (portrayed by Hank Fincken), aristocrat Margaret Blennerhassett (portrayed by Debra Conner), frontiersman Simon Kenton (portrayed by Gene Worthington), Indian captive Mary Draper Ingles (portrayed by Karen Vuranch), and Iroquois leader Chief ![]() |
John Logan (portrayed by Dan Cutler).
