| Community Links: Using Archival Resources from the Mac-A-Cheek Foundation. Under the supervision of an experienced professional archivist, MFH staff hired a temporary archivist who is organizing and properly storing the foundations document collection. Area historical societies, libraries, schools, and colleges will be invited to an opening ceremony and tour of the new archive, and receive copies of the new index. |

| Following a plan developed by a professional archivist, MHS volunteers are organizing, indexing, and properly storing the societys collection of documents so the collection can be moved into a publicly accessible research room. Volunteers will use digital photographs and scanned documents to create an internet exhibit about Miamisburgs historic tobacco industry. |

| WWIIThe Ripley-Union Township Veterans Story. Staff and volunteers from Ripley Heritage, Inc. and veterans are consulting with a professional historian to organize oral history interviews with WWII veterans from the area. The interviews will be transcribed, archived, and used to create a documentary video for classroom use. They will serve as the basis of an information profile about each interviewee that will be offered to local libraries and schools. The entire project follows the guidelines of the Folklife Art Center in Washington, DC, and the results will be offered to the center. |

| FLazos Culturales/ Cultural Ties. The B.K. Smith Gallery at Lake Erie College sponsored a roundtable discussion on the cultural adjustments and challenges Hispanic artists face after moving to the United States. Eleven artists from Latin America and the Caribbean took part in the discussion. |

| Our Search for God. This second phase of an oral history project previously supported by OHC draws on interviews of twenty women above eighty years of age about their religious views and the impact of those views on their lives. An exhibit includes photographs and excerpts of interviews. Two religious scholars presented talks at an opening program, which aired on a local radio station and was videotaped for used in schools. Material is also posted on a website. |
