From now until May 31, you have the chance to become a supporter of the Lincoln School project—a series of programs that tell the story of a group of Black mothers and children that led the fight for school integration in Hillsboro, Ohio, in the 1950s through our campaign, Marching On this May. Please consider making a gift to Ohio Humanities so that we can accelerate and complete two new initiatives in 2023:
- If you give $250 or more, your name or the name of someone special to you will be included in the children’s book that is due out this fall, that will give young learners the opportunity to appreciate how brave mothers and students just like them changed the course of history.
- If you give $1,000 or more, your name will appear in the credits of a broadcast-length film version of this story for distribution on public television and other channels, reaching more audiences across the state.
We can’t do it without you. Join us today to ensure that the valuable story of the Lincoln School Marchers becomes widely known and shared.
