In this episode of the Real Issues: Real Conversations podcast revisits Kent State University 50 years on from the May 4, 1970 shootings by members of the National Guard of four unarmed students on the campus. The episode includes an interview with poet and playwright David Hassler who discusses his play “May 4th Voices: Kent State, 1970” which is based on the university’s oral history archive. It also features Mindy Farmer, director of the May 4 Visitor’s Center on the Kent State campus.
