Superman’s Cleveland Conference: It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s a Cultural Icon!

October 14, 2023 @ 9:00 am 7:00 pm

In honor of the 85th anniversary of the creation of Superman in Cleveland, Ohio, Ursuline College and the Ohio Center for the Book at Cleveland Public Library are hosting a conference dedicated to exploring the first superhero’s connections to the city of Cleveland, his relationship to the broader cultural environment, and Superman’s legacy within the medium of comics itself.
