Toni Morrison Book Discussion: “Jazz”

February 15 @ 6:00 pm 7:00 pm

The Lorain Public Library System has announced several programs planned in celebration of Toni Morrison Day!

In 2020, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed House Bill 325, which officially designates Feb. 18, the birthday of the Nobel-prize-winning author, as Toni Morrison Day in Ohio.

The public in encouraged to attend a number of free programs at the Main Library, 351 W. Sixth St. in downtown Lorain.

A Book Discussion about Toni Morrison’s “Jazz” will take place from 6-7 p.m., Feb. 15. Gloria Buxton, a local arts educator and community activist, will lead a discussion on the novel. Copies of the novel are available at the library. This event will take place in person and online.
